Are you currently working within transactional finance and would like the opportunity to move in to a more varied role? If you are interested in learning about management accounts and would like to assist in the production of month end reports, this could be a great role for you! I have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a business based in Darwen on a permanent basis. The company are part of a larger group and have a well-established client base. Working closely with the Head of Finance you will be a key support assisting with many areas of accounts.
Duties will include:
- Matching and coding invoices, resolving queries, making payments
- Dealing with supplier queries
- Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts
- Calculating and checking payments to ensure the amounts are correct
- Managing petty cash
- Daily bank downloads, reconciliations and allocating cash
- Working with spreadsheets, sales & purchase ledger management around 65 suppliers
- Producing reports for senior management
- Posting journals
Your Profile:
- AAT qualified or currently studying would be great
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and competent using online accounting software, Dynamics would be an advantage
- Personable and happy to work in a smaller finance team
- Supportive and caring
- Excellent communication skills, confident telephone manor
- Strong problem-solving skills

You will be offered a permanent position with a salary of up to £26,000 depending on experience. Holidays are 25 days plus bank holidays, imagine what you could do with an extra week off!
