What we offerΒ
- Competitive salary starting at $56k base, plus guaranteed commission and sign-on bonus with total compensation of $83kΒ Β

What you will doΒ Β
Ourβ―Early Career Sales Engineeringβ―(BEST) Programβ―is a 6-monthβ―technical sales development programβ―for Recent College Graduates thatβ―focuses on creating market share by strategic selling Johnson Controlsββ―Fireβ―products and services to commercial customers.β―In this program you will have a chance to apply your technical engineering knowledge and business acumen to work with customers to better understand their product and project needs by being the subject matter expert. As part of the program, you will participate in a 6-month training and development program combining classroom, field orientation, and on the job training. You will learn our mechanical equipment and service offerings, customer relationship techniques and leadership skills in preparation for supporting customers in your territory alongside the sales team. You will be prepared to consult with architects, engineers, and building owners on product selections; partner with and learn from internal experts and deliver on business goals. You will be a critical part of a local sales team and a national network of sales professionals.β―
How you will do itΒ Β
- Estimate job bids and prepare proposals with contractors, architects and building ownersβ―β―Β
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractorsβ―β―Β
- Complete sales calls to generate new business and build on existing relationshipsβ―β―Β
- Present solutions to customers for considerationβ―β―Β
- Collect and analyze market intelligenceβ―β―Β
- Turn projects over to operations team for execution and installationsΒ
What we look forΒ
Required:Β Β
- Currently pursuing a Bachelorβs degree with a major in business, engineering or construction management and graduating by December 2024 or May/June 2025 Program starts January 6, 2025 or June 16, 2025Β
- Strong analytical ability to solve problems and ability to learn quicklyβ―β―Β
- Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams with minimum guidanceβ―β―Β
- Strong communication and teamwork skillsβ―Β
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent ResidencyΒ
Preferred:Β
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree, strongly preferredβ―Β
- Previous sales, engineering or business experiences through co-ops, internships, part-time or full-time jobsβ―Β
