Keith Willig Landscape Architecture (KWLA) is growing its design practice and is seeking a qualified Project Manager to join the team! KWLA is a small but busy studio with potential for new members to expand and deepen their experience. Job Description and Responsibilities:
KWLA designs sustainable, modern residential landscapes throughout the bay area. As a Project Manager in our office, you will participate in the design process, from conceptual design through construction observation. You will gain exposure to our day-to-day operations by performing the following:
- Manage custom residential projects; collaborate with project team on design
- Act as lead on project communications with clients, city offices, contractors, and consultants
- Quality assurance for project deliverables
- Establish schedules and manages deadline for internal team
- Mentor junior team members
The Qualified Candidate Will:
- Have experience in all aspects of design and construction documentation; solving issues creatively and comprehensively
- Be proficient in AutoCAD and/or Vector Works, Adobe, Microsoft, Excel
- Be WELO experienced
- Have California native plant knowledge
- Oversee multiple, concurrent projects, managing scope of work, schedule, and budgets effectively
- Possess an aptitude for independent and autonomous work, but also mesh well with team members
- Be comfortable with and enjoy client interaction
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Applicants will have at least five years of work experience and either a Master's of Landscape Architecture or a five-year Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Environmental Design.
