Role Overview & Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Caretaker to join our team working with Stoke & Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Authority contract. Within this role, you can enjoy family friendly policies, access to both Cycle to Work and Green Car schemes and even more.


Location: Mobile across Staffordshire – covering Stoke & Staffordshire Fire Stations

Contract: Permanent, full time – 40 hours per week


Responsibilities

As a Caretaker you’ll be working within the team to maintain effective PFI Facilities Management delivery to our client across the portfolio of sites in the Staffordshire area.

Your day to day will include:

  • Managing the site security and carrying out fire and safety precautions across multiple sites

  • General building maintenance duties to ensure the site meets required standards including minor joinery repairs, minor plumbing repairs & grounds maintenance

  • Responsible for locking and unlocking of grounds

  • Emergency cleaning as required and other tasks relative to the skill level of the role


What are we looking for?

This role of Caretaker is great for you if:

  • You have previous experience in a Caretaker or Maintenance role

  • You will engage in a positive manner and are able to conduct heavy lifting in line with manual safety handling training

  • You should also be comfortable producing paperwork and information to be used for reporting


Due to the nature of the role, you will also require a full driving license and be happy travelling across the county to different sites and be able to participate in the on-call rota system covering out of hours and weekends.
