The Company:
A 3rd party logistics company based in Avonmouth with an established reputation in the driving industry, are offering an opportunity for a driver to work for them.
The Opportunity:
Operating from their depot in Avonmouth, our client is looking for someone to join them on a part-time basis with 2 shifts per week. These 2 shifts will vary each week but you will have the dates confirmed in 4-week blocks. They will be any 2 out of 7 days.
It is a night shift, starting around 05:00am – 06:30am this will be a 12-hour shift doing usually 1-2 drops (no handball_ and sometimes a collection on the way back to Avonmouth.
You will be delivering to a range of locations such as Broxbourne, Runcorn & Birmingham and the collections are usually from Cardiff, Magor or Swindon. This will not be all in one shift, this is just an example of locations.
There is no handball, only opening and closing the curtains.
Pay:
The hourly rate is £15.30 per hour, based on a 24 per week contract the salary comes to £19,094.40 per year for the two days per week.
Key Requirements:
· HGV 1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, CPC Card
· Strong communication and teamwork skills
· The knowledge and initiative to solve basic problems and make routine decisions
· Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
· Unfortunately, we cannot take anyone with a DR10 on their licence
