Responsibilities
We have an exciting new opportunity for a handbag and footwear designer to support the growing Kurt Geiger London Outlet business, with a great focus being on the bags. You will be researching trends, new materials, trims, colour palettes and designing new products incorporating your original ideas each season that are in line with the company strategy for the brand. You will need to be confident in creating and delivering your concept and direction each season, be able to build a collection from start to finish, be providing technical drawings for suppliers, finalising the approved designs for production.
Requirements
- be open minded to work across different categories including footwear at times
- be able to produce high quality work to targets and tight deadlines
- have an eye for colour and texture and relevant trend to the brand
- be confident in presenting your designs and vision formally and informally
- have practical knowledge and experience of production methods
- have a flair for design with great creativity and imagination
- be able to produce original ideas based on upcoming trends
- be able to work without supervision but be part of a team
- have an understanding of Kurt Geiger London, our collections and the brand
- work very collaboratively with the footwear team, as well as independently
