Role Overview & Responsibilities

Project: Evaluating reporting on sustainability outcomes

The Pentland Centre for Sustainability in Business are seeking to appoint a 15-month post-doc to work with colleagues in the Centre and external collaborators on evaluating sustainability reports of selected organisations in the seafood and research sector. The associate, in partnership with colleagues and external collaborators, will develop a reporting protocol to capture the quality of reporting and how it changes over time. The outcomes of this analysis will be used to engage reporters in the cohort with an aim of further developing their reporting practices. In addition, the associate will develop research publications that reflect on reporting quality and changes to reporting practice. A variety of backgrounds in the area of social and environmental accounting and reporting will be considered, with experience of reporting analysis being preferred but not essential. There will be a package of training and support to support the post-holder develop the knowledge and skills needed for the role. The work will be guided by colleagues in the Pentland Centre for Sustainability in Business and in partnership with researchers at the Stockholm Resilience Centre in Sweden.
