LARA Search works with an outstanding special school in New Addington and is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their welcoming and inclusive team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with teachers to support students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will be responsible for providing one-to-one support, assisting with class activities, and helping to create a safe and positive learning environment.

- Work with teachers to plan and deliver learning activities that meet the individual needs of students.
- Provide one-to-one support for students with additional needs.
- Assist with class activities, including supporting students with behavioural and emotional needs.
- Help to create a safe and positive learning environment.
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and SLTs.
- Attend meetings with parents, teachers, and other professionals as required.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience working in a similar role, ideally in a SEND setting.
- Knowledge of a range of SEN needs and strategies to support students with these needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A patient, supportive and positive approach to working with students.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, would be an advantage.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one.
