We are a small, busy independent café in the heart of West Bridgford looking for a part time staff member (around 20-30hrs). We're a new business that offer home baked cakes, breakfasts, lunches and great coffee.
We are looking for a candidate who is experienced working with food, that may be in a professional kitchen or an experienced home chef that confidently prepares a range of freshly cooked food. We would like the candidate to be aware of food allergens and food safety guideline, ideally holding a food hygiene certificate.
Working in our café is about much more than just making a great coffee. We are looking for positive people who have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and will go above and beyond to put the customer in the centre of everything they do.
We are looking for people who can be enthusiastic and outgoing, have a good sense of humour and relaxed manner. It is important for us to develop a close knit team who have a friendly nature, a can do attitude and an eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Taking orders and serving customers
- Preparing and cooking food orders such as panini's, salads, tarts, sandwiches and breakfast rolls to order.
- Till and card machine operation
- Checking the temperature of fridges freezers or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Cleaning and tiding up at the end of the day
- Good understanding of the product range to answer customer queries
- Attention to detail while working and willingness to help the team
- Comply with health safety guidelines and regulations
