This is a role where you will need to hit the ground running, with your knowledge already at a high level, for what is an integral role for the business. You will need to have experience working in a fast paced, busy kitchen, and be keen to grow within the kitchen. The successful candidate will be passionate about food and pastry, and will be able to deliver high quality dishes according to a spec. You will:
- Have a passion for pastry and desserts and a genuine passion for cooking
- Have worked in a high-pressure kitchen environment
- Be able to create and prepare desserts and pastries in accordance with the existing menus, along with specials
- Ensure the mise en place is performed to a high standard at all times
- Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness in the kitchen
- Inspect the quality of the ingredients and measure them for specific recipes
