HGV Driver – Class One

Based: Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire

HGV DRIVER – CLASS ONE – VIVIER

Duties will include:

· Driving vehicle in accordance with the law and safe working practices to all parts of the UK to collect shellfish.

· Transporting shellfish from the UK to Europe.

· Driving within the tachograph law, driver hours and working time directive requirements.

· Ensuring the vehicle is safely loaded and secured to minimise the risk of damage to the load, injury to persons, and /or damage to premises or other vehicles.

· Make timely collections and deliveries as scheduled.

· Prepare vehicle for use, carrying out daily safety checks, reporting any non-conformances

· Maintain the cleanliness of the drivers cab and vehicle exterior.

· Complete delivery / collection paperwork. Keep records of mileage, fuel use, and other costs incurred.

· Attend essential training in order to carry out the driver role.

· Adhere to Company policies, procedures and standards, including operational, technical, Health & Safety and Human Resources to ensure the Company operates within legal and best practice guidelines

Experience & Qualities Required:

· Valid Clean HGV Licence

· Vivier experience preferred, but training can be given;

· 2 years’ experience in HGV Driver role

· Ability to follow instruction.

· Excellent timekeeping and attendance.

· Good knowledge of geographical areas.

· Adaptable to business needs and change.

· Practical, enthusiastic with a flexible approach to work

· Familiarity operating standard vehicle equipment eg, pallet trucks.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

• Exeter: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Driving: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driver CPC (preferred)
