Role Overview & Responsibilities

Health Care Assistant (Health Care Member)

We provide care and support to children and young people with life limiting illnesses, and to their families. The hospice is in Boston Spa, Wetherby and we care for children and young people from across West, North and East Yorkshire.

We have an amazing opportunity for enthusiastic and caring individuals to come and join our dedicated multi-disciplinary team. We provide 1:1, holistic, family centred care, meaning this role is suitable for those who have a genuine interest in making a difference through the care they provide.

This is an exciting time of growth and we are looking for candidates who are passionate about providing quality care.

Our ideal candidate will have -

  • experience in working in a health or education setting
  • experience working with children or young people with additional needs is preferable (education and development available for the right candidate)
  • a passion for providing high quality holistic care
  • enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • able to work a variety of shifts, including weekend and night shifts
