Transport Operator
Menzies Distribution are looking for a Transport Operator to join our team. providing a first class service in Corby, Northamptonshire. The main responsibility of this role will be to support our customers, drivers and colleagues throughout the business.
What You Really Want To Know:
- This is a Monday to Friday Shift Pattern
- Hours of work are 22:00-06:00
- 30 Minute Unpaid Break / Paid 37.5 hours per week
- The salary for this role is £29,100.00 per annum or £14.92 per hour
- Holiday Allowance is 28 days per annum inclusive of bank holidays
Transport Operator Duties:
- Maintenance and Management of the Transport Management System (TMS).
- Ensure effective and efficient use of driver and vehicle resources.
- Promotion and adherence to site policy and procedure.
- Manage driver briefing / de-briefing including downloading driver digicards.
- Cross functional interaction (Warehouse / Drivers or Contractors / Customers).
- Undertake any other duties that are reasonably requested.
Transport Operator Requirements:
- Good communication skills are essential with the ability to express empathy with customers
- Planning or scheduling experience
- Knowledge of Health & Safety.
