Role Overview & Responsibilities
Multi-Skilled Engineer (Mechanical Bias) – Days Only – Chorley – Manufacturing – £35,000- Days Based Role
- Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm
- £35,000 Basic + Potential Overtime on Saturdays as required

- Formal Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Competence qualification would be advantageous
- At least 2 years’ experience within an Industrial biased fast-moving continuous manufacturing environment
- Familiar with ISO 9001, 14001
- Ensure full compliance and adherence to company procedures, practices, and standards
- Diagnose faults, test, repair and maintain Mechanical/Electrical equipment and machinery
- Observe, recognise and report on machinery and equipment condition, performance, or symptoms of impending failure
- Effectively support in-house projects which include equipment improvement activities and cost reductions
- Carry out planned, preventative and corrective maintenance to agreed schedules
- Interpret and implement technical service instruction data relating to machinery and equipment
- Liaise with Maintenance and Operations staff to ensure assets are handed over in a timely, qualitative and operational running condition
- Prioritise and support reactive/breakdown repair through the site SIC process
- Effectively support Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule
- Raise appropriate requests for replacement parts as required
- Use and support departmental 5s programmes for workshops and engineering owned area
