Our client is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in design and project management to contribute to their mission of making a positive impact in the communities they serve.
As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will:
Serve as a technical liaison with clients and coordinate technical efforts within discipline areas.Lead mechanical design development from conceptual to detailed stages, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.Prepare engineering reports and assist in cost estimating efforts through data collection and analysis.Conduct design computations, including system design, equipment sizing, and pipe stress analysis.Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on design tasks, specifications, and drawing preparation.Support occasional field visits for observations, data collection, and client documentation needs.Consult on design constructability and sequencing with construction personnel.Adhere to company standards for quality assurance and quality control.
Requirements:To qualify for this role, you should have:
A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited college or university.10+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering.Professional Engineering License (PE), or ability to obtain PE within 1 year.Strong pipe stress analysis skills are considered a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
