Seeking an experienced Project Executive or VP of construction to lead this upstate NY GC's in managing all construction projects. This position will require the candidate to work with other executives in the area as well as negotiate contracts, hire new employees, and develop of new business.Client DetailsOur client is a leading construction firm specializing in commercial and multifamily projects in Western NY State. As we continue to grow and expand our presence in the industry, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Vice President of Construction to join our team and lead our construction operations to new heights. DescriptionThe Senior Vice President of Construction will:

  • Leadership and Strategic Planning: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the construction team, setting clear objectives and goals
  • Project Management: Oversee all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction planning to project closeout
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure that all construction activities comply with quality standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor construction staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement. ProfileThe successful Senior Vice President of Construction will have the following:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and budgets.In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as building codes and regulations.Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.Proficiency in construction management software and tools.Job OfferThe Senior Vice President of Construction will receive:Competitive base salaryBonus structureCell phone and laptopPaid time off/personal days/sick daysExcellent benefits - health, medical, vision, dental401k plan available
