Part Time General Vascular Ultrasound Sonographer - San Jose, CA

Busy EndoVascular Surgery practice looking for highly qualified Vascular Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team of highly skilled professionals in our accredited facility. In house, Mobile Vascular Ultrasound services are needed in San Jose and surrounding area. Previous Vascular experience is highly preferred. Applicants should be self-motivating and have teamwork mentality. This is a per diem position with the possibility of becoming full time as we grow.

Applicant should have vast experience and knowledge of vascular pathology such as: arterial systems, venous systems, abdominal aorta, carotid, vertebral, renal arteries, and mesenteric arteries and some experience with viewing grafts and endovascular prosthetics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs appropriate ultrasound and plethysmography procedures and records anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician.

2. Assists the physician in gathering sonographic data necessary to diagnose arterial and venous conditions and diseases and identify normal and abnormal flow dynamics.

3. Obtains, reviews, and integrates pertinent patient medical history and supporting clinical data to facilitate optimum diagnostic results.

4. Provides patient education related to medical ultrasound.

5. Records and processes sonographic data.

6. Provides patient services in a variety of medical settings.

7. Performs quality assurance checks on equipment, ensuring proper safety standards are met.

8. Assist in Endovascular procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

· Education: Graduate of an Allied Health program with an Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree required.

· Experience: A minimum of two years relevant experience

· License/Certification: Credentials from ARDMS or CCI as a Registered Vascular Technologist or Registered Vascular Specialist required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

· Licensed in the state of California

We offer paid mileage reimbursement.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $41.79 - $65.15 per hour
