Our client based in Slough are looking to hire a Dog Warden.
This is a temporary ongoing role with possibility of becoming permanent.
Salary: £12/hour day shift
Shift hours:
·Day - 11am till 7pm
·Day - 10am till 6pm
·Day- 1 pm till 9 pm
Night shift 4pm to 4 am (occasional)
37.5 hours a week
Candidate must have previous Dog Kennel experience
Candidate must be flexible with occasional night shift
Duties of a Dog Warden:
·Minimise nuisance caused by stray dogs, keeping strays from the streets using approved methods of catching dogs.
· Minimise nuisance caused by all dogs, whether stray or not, in respect of dog fouling, noise nuisance from barking and aggressive behaviour through education and enforcement.
·Collection of stray dogs, care and kennel duties
·Promote responsible dog ownership.
Key Skills for a Dog warden:
Must have previous Dog or Kennel experience
Must have a Full UK driving license (must have had a license for at least 3 years and be able to drive a van the size of a Ford Transit)
·Good basic education and ability to maintain written and electronic records
·Previous relevant experience working with animals
·Able to work indoors, outdoors and wear appropriate uniform clothing
·Physically fit to handle animals
·Reliable, self-motivated, well organised and able to work with minimal supervision
·
PLEASE NOTE: No experience necessary as we do give full training also van, fuel and uniform will be provided.
Location: This job is based in Slough but covers a vast area, with possibly going as far as Milton Keynes or Greenwich and Bromley council areas.
Every day will be different and will not always entail going to these areas.
