An opportunity has arisen to join ward 8, Intensive Psychiatric Care unit based at Woodland View Hospital in Irvine.

As Band 3 Health Care Assistant you will work as part of an inter-disciplinary team, providing person-centred, recovery focused interventions under supervision of Registered Nursing staff.

A genuine interest in working with people experiencing complex mental health needs and often physical health challenges is essential to the role and applicants should have relevant experience of working in care settings delivering high quality care.
You will work as a key component of an inter-disciplinary team and, as such, should have excellent communication, interpersonal and along with a positive attitude and a proven ability to work as part of a team. .

You will display a positive attitude towards enhancing the care experience of service users. You will have a willingness to engage in training opportunities to enhance your knowledge base and be able to provide evidence of professional development.


There is 4 full time permanent post = 75 hours per fortnight.

A flexible approach to shift patterns will be essential with a focus upon working weekends and night shift.
