Role Overview & Responsibilities

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to use your skills, experience and education in helping to implement and evaluate system-wide psychologically informed, brief interventions across our clinical services? If the answer is yes, read on.

We’re developing a set of materials and training, for staff who are working with service users with a range of different needs. This broad reaching project includes the development of workbooks (and associated training) on topics such as Formulation, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Anxiety and other approaches / needs. You don’t need to be trained in those approaches as you will be working with subject matter experts and people with lived experience, but this is an opportunity to learn more, upskilling others as well as yourself.

You’ll work within a small and friendly project team based at Hellesdon Hospital, and will be engaging with staff and service users across the organisation. You’ll also have the opportunity to deliver clinical work under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, providing brief behavioural interventions, trauma stabilisation and emotional regulation work.

  • To support the development and implementation of trust-wide Psychologically Informed Workbooks, Formulation and Safety Planning initiatives
  • To liaise with internal stakeholders including people with lived experience to develop workbooks and associated training materials
  • To manage information and materials on intranet pages and teams channels
  • To co-create and co-deliver training for the above initiatives
  • To co-ordinate audit and service evaluation in relation to those initiatives
  • To work closely with our Quality Improvement team and education and training as required
