Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking to appoint an International Advisor to support our international applicants through their journey from enquirer to student. This new role will be responsible for providing administrative support to the International Office, administering FedAid funding for US students, and ensuring conversion activities to convert students from applicants to enrolments.

The International Office is responsible for the recruitment of international students. The principal remit of the team is to contribute to the University’s overall strategy by increasing the diversity of our student body and increasing the number of well-qualified international students admitted to the University. The team works across a range of our international target markets to deliver recruitment and marketing activities, develop brand awareness, maintain stakeholder relationships, and identify market opportunities.

We are looking for a diligent and self-motivated individual who is capable of working in a dynamic and agile team. The post holder will primarily focus on administration support and conversion activities to meet institutional targets. The post holder will also provide support to our International Admissions Officer in the processing of applications.

Educated to degree level or in possession of relevant professional experience, you will be a highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, together with a sensitivity to the needs of international students are essential.

Salary: £25,948 to £29,762 per annum with a further increase to £26,444 to £30,487 per annum from August 2023
