Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for an IT Technician to join our IT Services and the Endpoint Team to assist with the building and deployment of Macs and Windows computers and the wide range of creative software that are used by our staff and students.
The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 as well as a passion for Apple Macs and a willingness to bring their MacOS skills up to the level of their Windows experience.
As well as being an enthusiastic and flexible team player, you will be able to turn your hand to the many different aspects of the role which include everyday patching and upgrading, vulnerability scanning and ensuring that the University systems are as secure as possible.
You will also provide support to the Service Desk team when needed, offering technical advice to some of the more challenging problems and will understand the need to contribute to the Service Desk including the creation of suitable knowledge articles and training materials for the University’s staff and students.

Salary: £29,619 to £34,308 per annum
