Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Paralegal to work within our busy Employment Law Department which is based at our North Manchester office.
This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary, free parking and we also provide an extensive list of staff benefits.
Requirements and details of the role:
This role will involve assisting the Employment team on a variety of employment law issues which include:
- Drafting legal documents including, contracts, agreements and statements
- Liaising with clients, experts, barristers and third parties
- Organise diaries, schedule meetings and respond to telephone enquiries
- Carry out office administration, such as writing letters, billing and time recording
- Research into niche employment law areas
- Database management
You will also be required to assist in group litigation claims and full training will be provided. This includes:
- Speaking to interested claimants
- Provide initial advice
- Maintain accurate excel spreadsheets
- Commencing ACAS early conciliation
- Preparing claims to the Employment Tribunal
- Corresponding with administrators and the redundancy payments office
