Commercial Assistant / Trainee Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Plymouth
Due to the success and pipeline of works, an incredible opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction company on a permanent basis. Sectors include Education, Commercial, Industrial and Leisure. This position will be office based with site and client meetings located in the surroundings areas.
This position would suit someone who has recently graduated within Quantity Surveying or someone with an accounting background wishing to make the change into Quantity Surveying. A background in a construction environment would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:
Supporting the commercial team with procurement, invoicing and payment to minimise costs & maximise value
Support with measuring and preparing cost estimates for contracts and tenders
Build relationships with several specialist subcontract and supplier contacts
Make applications for payment on time and in a format agreed with the client
Ensure submitted invoices are paid on time
A minimum of 4 GCSE’s including maths and English
NVQ level 3, professional qualification or equivalent
Numerate and Literate
