Equine Veterinary Assistant- SEQUIM based

Sound Equine Veterinary Hospital is seeking to immediately fill the position of Sequim- Based Field Assistant

Hours: Full-time, hours vary. 3 days Olympic Peninsula, 1 day in Poulsbo

Reports to: Assigned doctor, Practice Manager

Department: Field/Hospital

Location: Olympic Peninsula/Poulsbo

Compensation: Hourly, based on experience

Tasks Include:

Assist doctor on the Olympic peninsula 3 days/Hospital 1 day. Organization of doctor’s truck and inventory, stocking procedures, and maintaining a clean functional workspaceDrive an SUVMaintain cleanliness and ensure proper sterilization/storage of equipmentOther projects and responsibilities as assignedSet- up for surgery and proceduresEquine restraint and safe handling

Minimum Qualifications And Requirements

High school or equivalent preferredAbility to follow directions with and without supervisionEffectively communicate with the doctorAbility to lift up to 50 poundsFlexibility with daily schedulingEquine experience and handling required

Pay Range

$16.28—$25 USD
