Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job Title: Biomedical Scientist (Blood Sciences)

Location: 25 Harley Street, London, W1G 9QW

Salary: negotiable depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Shifts: Monday to Friday.

The Role:

Phoenix Pathology is a small private laboratory and we are looking for a passionate and driven multidisciplinary Biomedical Scientist to join our blood sciences team.

Once trained and signed off, the candidate will work across Haematology, Biochemistry and serology on a daily basis.

Experience reporting blood film morphology, working with Abbott, Sysmex and Alifax are highly desirable skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide training to junior staff where required
  • book in samples using the LIMS
  • running IQC and EQA samples
  • analyser troubleshooting
  • manage the stock of consumables
  • Reviewing and reporting results
  • Replying to service user emails
  • Be the designated Health and safety officer and fire marshal

Mandatory requirements:

  • You must be HCPC registered to be considered
  • You must have experience working in a Laboratory based in the UK in the past 12 months.
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK. Please note that we cannot sponsor work visas.
