Machine Operator
Plantavi Ltd are designers and manufacturers of bespoke contract furniture.
We specialise in high volume contract furniture, collaborating with clients to provide attractive, durable, and cost-effective products to meet today’s demanding environments.
We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to work at our factory in Hull, Suttonfields Industrial Estate. The chosen candidate must have a passion within the woodworking industry and be highly driven.
The chosen candidate will be tasked with operating various wood working machines such as Beam Saw, Edgebander, CNC, Carcase Press or Sanders.
Key Responsibilities
- Work from production sheets and labels
- Undertake the operations associated with the machinery
- To set up and maintain correct settings of the machine
- High standards of housekeeping and organisational skill set
- To inspect and continually check the finished product
- Undertake any other duties requested by the Manager
- Adhere to health and safety procedures and policies within the workplace
- Adhere to procedures regarding the proper use and care of equipment
- Ability to follow and understand instructions
Desired Skills and Knowledge
- Experience of woodwork Machinery
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and understand job sheets
- Must be punctual with flexible commitment to working hours
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Permanent
Salary: From £11.40 per hour
