Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has come available for a Warehouse Assistant within our Warehouse Team at Purdicom.
The principal duties will be:
- Checking and booking in stock
- Picking, packing and booking stock out
- Sorting Warehouse replenishments
- Carrying out stock takes as and when required
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed fully, filed or archived in the appropriate manner
- Assisting all departments in any queries/requests made to the warehouse
- Liaising with couriers when requested to ensure all items are tracked, shipped or collected promptly.
- Carrying out any reasonable tasks as and when requested by logistics supervisor/management
- Carrying out any maintenance tasks that are required, ie lawns etc
We are looking for the following skills and experience:
- Counter balance and/or Reach Truck is essential
- Previous experience within a warehouse environment
- A basic understanding of ISO9001 and Health & Safety requirements is desired
- To gradually learn and amass knowledge and detailed understanding of Warehouse Procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to listen and articulate effectively
- To converse with all people throughout the organisation
- To be flexible on working hours and to work longer hours as the job may entail.
- Must be content to work in a semi-rural environment.
- To travel when and where necessary if required.
