Junior Chemist - Natural & Sustainable Household Cleaning Products

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we are currently seeking a talented Senior Chemist with a strong background in scent encapsulation to join our Laundry focused New Research and Development team.

Responsibilities:

As a Junior Chemist you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting research and development projects focused on creating natural, sustainable, and high-performing household consumer cleaning products with a great scent.
  • Assisting in the development and optimisation of eco-friendly product formulations, ensuring performance, stability, and adherence to relevant regulations.
  • Collaborating with teams inside the business, including marketing, product management, and manufacturing, to develop products that meet consumer needs, preferences, and industry trends.
  • Designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, and presenting findings in clear and concise reports.
  • Staying current with industry trends, advancements in green chemistry, and competitive landscape to contribute to the team's knowledge and capabilities.
  • Actively participating in brainstorming sessions and demonstrating a willingness to think outside the box, proposing innovative ideas for sustainable product development.
  • Ensuring all research and development activities adhere to relevant safety guidelines and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on surfactant chemistry.
  • No industry experience required, but candidates with experience are very welcome
  • A passion for environmentally sustainable product development and a desire to make a positive impact on the environment.
  • Strong knowledge of green chemistry principles, biodegradable materials, and environmentally friendly product formulations.
  • An innovative mindset and the ability to think outside the box to solve complex problems.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
