Bookkeeper
Up to £35K DOE
We are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join a leading accountancy practice based in Barnet. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to join a dynamic team and make a real impact in a growing business. Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing accounts up to trial balance for a portfolio of clients
- Performing bank reconciliations and processing payments
- Producing and submitting VAT returns
- Preparing CIS returns
- Liaising with clients & HMRC
- Occasionally supporting the team with processing payroll
- Training junior members of staff & covering when people are on holiday etc
- Using accounting software's such as Xero & Quickbooks
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience working in a UK accountancy practice environment
- Accounting qualifications are desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
