Role Title: Oracle Database Lead Engineer

Role Type: Permanent

Day Rate: Up to £125000 per annum

Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days a week in office)

Opportunity Overview: We are currently supporting one of the leading global investment banks to hire for an Oracle Database Lead Engineer.

Your key responsibilities

  • Platform management of the existing platforms - support of incidents and problems as well as keeping the platform up to date (patching)
  • Develop new database platform based on Oracle Cloud@Customer. Designing Database Model
  • Enhance best practices of Oracle Support to fit new relational database platform
  • Develop modules to support database operational support teams including reporting tools
  • Provide support to application development teams in product and performance selection
  • Level 3 Product database support for Exadata, Oracle Cloud and Oracle Databases
  • Provide technical database, hosted on Exadata platform, related support

Your skills and experience

  • Experience in Exadata infrastructure, Exadata Cloud @ Customer
  • Oracle Performance Tuning, Oracle PL/SQL Development, Bash / KSH Shell Scripting
  • Solid experience as an Oracle Developer or Database Administrator (DBA) in a large-scale environment and evidence of application development team support
  • Self-starter evidenced through assertive and pro-active behaviors
  • Ability to lead in fast paced, constantly changing environment, stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, confidence to work autonomously in sometimes challenging environment, champion new ideas and make decisions
