For many the ultimate goal is a level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, the common qualification for the highly regarded and responsible role of Registered Manager.
It is entirely possible for a career minded, dedicated carer to join as a CareGiver and, by working hard and studying, which you know you are good at, rise through Senior CareGiver, Care-Coordinator, Deputy Manager and finally Registered Manager within five years.
