Role
We are currently looking for a Food Buyer to join our team of associates at Rosewood London. Our Food Buyer is appointed to work closely with selected suppliers and managing the company’s procurement activities for all food products, ensuring prime and seasonal produce is delivered consistently.
Key expectations of this role are
- Working closely with various Kitchens within the hotel to ascertain their food requirements to control cost and quality.
- Providing operational support to the Purchasing Porters.
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers to achieve maximum value and improve supplier performance.
- Regulating and maintaining a controllable ordering system using a “just in time” approach to prevent excessive stock holding.

- The ability to work in a team and build relationships with the others.
- Motivating others to achieve maximum performance and efficiency.
- Being organised and proactive in managing your tasks.
- Paying close attention to detail by not comprising on quality standards.
- The ability to liaise and negotiate with suppliers.
