Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The role will involve recruiting patients to the study, assisting with the organisation and running of self-acupuncture teaching workshops, completing quantitative outcome measures with participants, conducting qualitative interviews with participants, and the analysis of qualitative data. The study is funded by UCLH Charity Fund.

Knowledge & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • PhD in an area of Integrated Medicine, or be working towards one
Desirable criteria
  • Qualification in the clinical practice of acupuncture

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of the design and conduct of randomised controlled trials
  • Experience of qualitative research methodologies
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of the acupuncture research field
  • Experience of Framework Methodology
  • Knowledge of Self-acupuncture

Skills & Abilities

  • Good organisational skills
