The SenS Suites Livermore, SureStay Collection by Best Western is hiring for a Front Office Supervisor to oversee the hotel's Front Desk operations.
The day-to-day responsibilities of this position include:
*Managing a front office team of 4-6 employees, including hiring, training and personal development, scheduling to meet the needs of the hotel, coaching and disciplining when necessary, etc.
*Being an expert in hotel Front Desk operations, including in depth knowledge of our PMS (AutoClerk) and Best Western / SureStay policies and procedures, Check-In and Check-Out procedures, handling all cash and credit card transactions, answering phone calls to make new guest reservations, answer questions, and provide guest assistance by being knowledgable of the local area.
*Works daily to ensure overall guest satisfaction, including handling any guest feedback in an appropriate manner, responding to guest reviews online, determines appropriate resolutions to problems, etc. Is able to maintain a strong positive relationship with other departments (Housekeeping, Maintenance, Security) to resolve any problems.
*The FOS will also be responsible for some accounting duties, cash deposits, daily reporting to upper management and ownership, and daily review of the previous days transactions to ensure accuracy. They will also contribute to the sales efforts of the hotel to find new business opportunities for the hotel.
Previous hotel experience is a MUST! Ideally at least 2 years of previous hotel Front Office experience is preferred. We are looking for someone with a strong customer service background and a passion for hospitality and helping people.
This is a Full-Time, 40+ hour/week position, and weekends will be required. The Front Office Supervisor should be "on-call" to assist Front Desk staff with any questions/emergencies that may arise when the FOS is off-property.
