Freelance Designer - Home
A large international supplier of apparel and home (soft and hard goods) is seeking a freelance designer (Home - Soft Goods) to join the team. The role could be 100% remote (work from home) or be a hybrid depending on the candidate.
Freelance Designer - Home (Soft Goods) -The Role:
- Conduct research, analyse competition to assist in the development of product strategy.
- Identify gaps in the current offering. Products - Bed linen, cushion, rugs etc
- Develop ranges and collections for target customers - Primark, Tesco etc
- Work closely with the Design and Development teams of manufacturers to translate ideas into products
Freelance Designer - Home (Soft Goods) - The Person:
The ideal candidate will:
- be from a strong design background within Home category ideally from a retail or supplier background
- be thorough in putting together technical packs with detailed design specifications
- be able to work remote with the entire design, product development, sampling infrastructure being overseas
- be able to meet buyers of customer accounts such as Primark, Tesco etc
be self motivated
- be a self starter and can work with minimal support
