- Mon -Thu: 08:00 – 17:00
- Fri: 08:00 – 15:00
Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Design, daily duties include:
- Develop electrical designs, drawings, calculations etc for projects
- Create project-specific building management systems control strategies for implementation
- Manage, train and develop junior engineers
- Take part in project design meetings
- Work hand in hand with other departments and teams to deliver projects
- Visit UK sites to undertake surveys or existing systems
- The above list is not exhaustive and additional tasks may be required as directed
Requirements
Education:
Degree in Electrical Engineering/Building Services or equivalent qualification
Essential skills and experience:
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Chartered Engineer status with a professional body
- Experience in the design and implementation of building management systems
- Previous experience in designing ELV, LV and HV systems e.g. protections, harmonics, investors etc.
- Comprehensive understanding of British/European standards and legislation included the latest 18th edition
- Experience working with Amtech or similar design software
- Self-motivated, hard-working individual
- Possess a strong commitment to team environment dynamics, contributing expertise and following leadership directives at appropriate times
- Fluent written and verbal English language skills
Desirable:
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and the latest BIM 360 software packages
- Experience in utilising IES, Hysopt or similar
- Design HV electrical switchgear, transformer, generator systems above 2MW(e)
