Role Overview & Responsibilities

We're looking for a Physiotherapist!

You'll take a role in the specialist neuro physiotherapy intervention to patients as part of the team, assessing and treating a caseload of patients who may have a complex presentation and maintain associated records as an autonomous practitioner. You'll undertake evidence-based projects, including recommendations for change in practice and participate in research and audit.

Snowdon is a 14 bed unit which specialises in the treatment of adults with physical and cognitive impairment following a recent neurological event or a long- term neurological condition. We offer a 24-hour, 6 day a week service, providing specialist in-patient goal orientated neuro rehabilitation. The Kite Unit is a 10 bed unit offering a neuropsychiatric service providing rehabilitation to individuals with brain injury whose impairments are largely in the cognitive, behavioural or mental health spectrum. Both units focus on neuro-rehabilitation, neuropsychiatry and disability management in line with the definitions used by the British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine (BSRM) for Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and are registered with UK Rehabilitation Outcome Collaborative (UKROC) contributing data to the national database. Snowdon is recognised as providing specialist neurorehabilitation as a level 2 unit. The units work collaboratively. You will be based on Snowdon however there is an opportunity to work on KITE.
