Description

Working as a civil engineering technician providing technical support to consulting engineers who provide design services and advice to construction clients on projects all over the world. These projects could be in different sectors including: rail, bridge and building construction, marine, highways, power, commercial and industrial.

Responsibilities
<br><br>
Working as a technician within one or more of the company’s design teams involved in delivering projects across a variety of construction sectors.

Production of CAD drawings
<br><br>
Preparation of calculations
<br><br>
Supporting the administration of projects
<br><br>
Ensuring outputs meet the required standards
<br><br>
Meeting agreed deadlines
<br><br>
Maintaining drawing register
<br><br>
Working as a member of a team.
<br><br>
Contributing to providing solutions to problems.
<br><br>
Working both in an office environment and on site.
<br><br>
Entry requirements

maths and english at GCSE grade c or above - or functional skills level 2

Training towards a Level 3 Civil Engineering Apprenticeship

Things to consider
<br><br>
You will attend South Thames College 1 day a week as part of your taught programme. You will be provided with two mentors; one for your civil engineering development and the other on BIM/CAD skills. Monday to Friday, with flexible start (8am to 10am) and finish times, around a core 7.5 hour working day with an unpaid break for lunch.
