Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver
Ivybridge
Permanent/40 hours per week
£11-£12.50 per hour depending on experience
I am working with a large award-winning shop fitters, to recruit a permanent Warehouse Operative to ensure their large Warehouse in Ivybridge is kept clean, tidy & in order. You will also need an up to date Counter Balance ticket, in order to use the Forklift.
You will be based in this large recycling equipment centre, where they store all fixtures and fittings from convenience and supermarket stores ranging from shelving, to refrigeration plant and bakery ovens.
The successful applicant would be required for the loading and unloading of equipment and be comfortable with entering all equipment onto an Excel spreadsheet. A knowledge of shopfitting fixtures would be an advantage but all training would be given in all areas required.
Duties will include:
- Loading and unloading equipment
- Managing an active warehouse environment
- Storing and listing all equipment on Excel spreadsheet
- Picking, packaging and processing orders
- Keeping the warehouse in an organised and tidy manner
Some flexibility in working hours would be required as occasionally deliveries of equipment and materials would be required. There may be some overnight stops required but this wouldn’t be a regular occurrence. All costs would be covered by the company. The ability to drive a 7.5 ton lorry would be advantageous but not a necessity.
Suitable candidates:
- Must have a full UK Driving License
- The applicant must have a valid forklift licence, a full driving license
- Basic IT skills for entering equipment onto Excel
This is a position that has the ability to grow in more depth for the right applicant who would need to be able to think on their feet and address any problems that may arise. This is a good opportunity for someone who likes to work in a happy and friendly environment.

- Hourly rate of £11-£12.50ph depending on expensive, based on a 40 hour week
