Role Overview & Responsibilities
South West London Pathology is an award winning pathology partnership between four Hospital Trusts β St Georgeβs University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Croydon Health Services NHS Trust and Epsom & St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust β designed to provide an integrated, high quality pathology service for hospitals and GPs across South West London, by bringing together the best of each Trustβs service and providing them within a single organisation.
The Microbiology department at St Georgeβs has state of the art of equipment offering full lab automation and a vast array of molecular platforms. The laboratory prides itself on its innovative and progressive approach to Microbiology.
The role is based at the St George's site and includes rotation through all the various sub-disciplines of bacteriology, virology, serology and molecular. Serology has a fully integrated tracked Roche solution. During rotation you will operate a wide range of instruments and perform numerous laboratory tests.
