Principal Accountabilities
· To ensure best clay ware is placed carefully onto the kiln car in accordance with the current placing technique
· To ensure bullers rings are placed in the correct position prior to firing
· To move kiln car to the required location for firing/emptying
· Removal of fired biscuit ware from cars and place in correct storage containers
· Accurately read bullers rings values and record on appropriate QA document
· Record kiln temperatures - if required
· Initiate firing sequences as required
· To record kiln readings in required log books.
· To comply with all Health and Safety Regulations and Company policies and to ensure at all times that the work area is clean, tidy and safe.
Shift work
Rotating days, noons, nights ( 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am on a weekly rotating basis, Monday - Friday)
Pay
The pay is a baserate is £10.86, with a shift allowance applicable. The shift allowance enhances pay to: Days - £11.94, Noons - £12.65, Nights - £13.33
We offer 33 days holiday, as well as overtime and a shift allowance which will enhance your pay per hour.
