Role Overview & Responsibilities

Are you interested in a Summer Internship of 6-10 weeks? You will be joining the world of international storage and distribution of bulk liquids, tankers, terminals, aquaculture & LNG at Stolt-Nielsen.

The role requires an analytical, confident, efficient, positive-attitude and self-motivated individual, who is a capable communicator with the ability to influence people with analysis.

Stolt-Nielsen Limited (SNL), is the specialist storage and transportation provider for bulk liquids: Chemicals, clean petroleum, gases, vegetable oils, biofuels and oleochemicals. We also focus on opportunities in aquaculture & LNG.

What You Will Be Doing
As our Corporate Development Intern, you are part of a small, collaborative team sat in Stolt-Nielsen’s London HQ focused on the origination and execution of a diverse range of M&A activities, strategic equity investments / venture investments and capital market transactions. In our pragmatic environment, we need you to come up with analyses that is balancing the needs of today with a vision for tomorrow.

You will have the unique opportunity to support two functions: Corporate Development with a focus on the execution of the Group strategic operations and Corporate Venture Capital which invests in the future of sustainable logistics. As a Corporate Development intern, you will assist the team members in carrying out these functions.

Expectations & Tasks

  • Market research: Perform desktop research on relevant trends/technologies and develop screening lists to identify potential opportunities
  • Investment opportunities evaluation support: Evaluate company materials and perform ad-hoc analyses as requested by the team
  • Transaction support: Perform valuation and return analysis supporting the wider Corporate Development team
    Support preparation of materials for investment committees, senior management committees and board meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree at a UK university in the subjects of Economics, Finance, or STEM (second-year students or above)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Interest in accounting and financial analysis
  • Interest in Logistics and Supply Chain industries
  • Ability and motivation for self-learning
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
