We are looking for a friendly and competent server at our popular restaurant, Tamburino, to ensure our customers have a memorable Italian dining experience. Since the quality of our service is crucial to success, the ideal candidates will be able to provide superior guest service and ensure the dining experience meets high standards, from the food to the environment.

- Competitive wage range of £8.50 - £11.00 an hour (dependent on experience)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, attentive and dynamic individual with a passion for food and drink, as well as customer service of course! You should be adept at working in fast-paced and unpredictable environments where you will need to think on your feet and work well with the entire team, from the chefs to other serving staff to ensure a memorable Italian dining experience.

Key accountabilities:
- Welcome customers when they arrive at the restaurant and introduce the menu including daily or seasonal menu specials
- Maintain high standards of hygiene at the premise
- Take customers' orders for food and drink
- Prepare hot and cold drinks and serve them to customers
- Collect food orders from the kitchen, verify that they are correct, and serve them to customers
- Ensure that customers are satisfied with their meals
- Remove used dishes, glasses, and flatware from tables
- Prepare cheques and process cash and credit card payments and returns change to customers if necessary
- Set tables with dishes, glasses, and flatware and refill condiments
- Maintain familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information
- Any other duties directed by your line manager

Tamburino is a well-established, award-winning family of restaurants which all started with TAMBURINO, opened in Yeovil in February 2005 bringing the town a true taste of Italy with our wonderful traditional cuisine and vibrant atmosphere. Since then, we have opened 2 more branches TAMBURINO VILLAGE in Street, Somerset and TAMBURINO GOLD in Sherborne, Dorset and still looking to expand the great taste of genuine Italian food.
