Role Overview & Responsibilities

The Textile Centre of Excellence is looking to recruit someone to work within their Huddersfield based office as a Department Administrator.

Job Title: Office & Finance Administrator

Location: Textile House, Red Doles Lane, Huddersfield, HD2 1YF

Start Date: Immediate start

Position: Full time (40 hours per week)

Salary: £22,500 per annum

Hours: 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday (one hour lunch break).

Essential Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (specifically Word, Spreadsheets, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Desirable Skills: Experience of basic accounting practices such as sales invoicing, using Sage Line50 and basic knowledge of inputting data into an accounts package.

Experience: No experience necessary but the role requires a high degree of integrity, honesty, hard work and a commitment to learning new skills.

Qualifications: Ideally GCSEs Grades 4 and above but not essential.

Right to Work: The successful candidate must already have the right to work in the UK.

The job will require the successful candidate to undertake the following tasks:

  • Handling customer enquiries, calls and emails for course bookings and managing bookings
  • Preparation for courses, welcoming guests and visitors
  • Registering learners on courses and managing certification processes.
  • Working on Reception and covering front of House requirements
  • Updating social media as needed
  • Supporting the Training Team with administrative duties
  • Managing online job applications for clients and making referrals to departments.
  • Supporting staff with administrative tasks in an office environment.
  • Updating and maintaining the company’s website and online profiles.
  • Processing client invoices
  • Email customer statements
  • Send membership renewals
  • Update Excel spreadsheets
  • Allocate customer/supplier payments
  • Liaise with suppliers
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Directors

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £22,500.00 per year
