Title: Grinder / Polishing Operative
The Best Connection are currently recruiting on behalf of a well established Fabrication company based in Seaforth.
Specific Areas of Responsibility
- Grind, file, sand, de-burr or polish parts.
- Perform assigned duties using manual, pneumatic and electric hand tools and machines.
- Manipulate work piece or tool manually.
- Develop and/or recommend techniques and parameters for blending/polishing.
- Inspect and measure work piece to verify conformance to specifications.
- Move machine control and guides to adjust machine.
- Replace worn machine accessories such as wheels and polish belts.
- Perform component cleaning operations.
- Perform machine maintenance as required.
Key attributes
- Experience with grinding and blending tools on metal surfaces.
- Ability to work off of drawings/ work instructions.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals;
- Contribute to building a positive team spirit.
The standard working hours are 8am- 5pm, Monday- Thursday and 8am- 1.15pm on a Friday.
The rate of pay is negotiable on interview with our client as it it dependant on existing skillset and experience.
We have an immediate start available following a successful interview with the view to be taken on permanent.
Once permanent, further training & development opportunities would be available to increase your skillset within the factory.

- Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
- 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
