Graduate Food Technologist

A successful food manufacturer based in Devon are looking for a Junior Food Technologist to join their team. You’ll be providing admin support for NPD processes and the Technical department, specifically co-ordinating admin requirements for new and existing products.
Role responsibilities:
- Recipe updates: Ensuring internal finished product specs and labels are kept up to date
- Maintaining the nutritional calculation system and ensuring assemblies are accurate with relevant raw materials
- Administrate support for new product set up
- Attend and run daily and weekly taste panels, recording accurate data and communicating findings to relevant departments
- Producing QAS for new products as part of the NPD to listing process; regular review of existing QAS
- Assist with the management of customer technical portal requirements & specific customer specs/technical forms & questionnaires
- Technical support for the NPD department – processing nutritionals, assisting with recipe engineering for nutritional targets, provision of customer specific technical information, support with pre-approval of raw materials in development and use within the wider factory from a technical perspective
- Producing NPD specs for development lines as required
Person Specification
- Some understanding of food labelling, nutritional information and allergens and be keen to learn more
- You will need to be organised and diligent
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- An excellent communicator
