Role Overview & Responsibilities

Project Officer (x2) - Homeworking – Fixed term contact 18 months – up to £31K

This an exciting opportunity to join the University of Law’s transformation team as we expand with a wide variety of projects and programmes.

We are looking for two Project Officers to support our operational transformation programmes.

Reporting to the Head of Operational Transformation Programme and collaborating with various departments across the University, you will be planning, chasing, preparing, managing, updating, and disbursing reports and papers on many projects and well as creating status reports and summarised extracts of project delivery for communication to relevant stakeholders.

There will also be plenty of opportunity for the right candidates to take on project management roles directly as part of their development.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively track progress of project tasks and milestones by liaising with Business Leads and Project Managers.
  • Reviewing, analysing, and managing project dependencies, risks, and issues. Escalating as required.
  • Setting up meetings, preparing papers and servicing meetings.
  • Taking detailed, accurate notes and actions at Programme Boards and Steering Groups
  • Capturing and recording decisions and actions from Project meetings.
  • Maintain and update the Risk, Issue, Action and Decision logs
  • Capturing project and workstream updates and compiling them into status reports.
  • State and publish project milestones and reports to stakeholders and monitor slippage
  • Develop communication updates for wider stakeholders.
  • Working with the Head of Operational Change Programme and Director of Assessments to support the delivery of rapid improvement and change projects and workshops.

There are two roles available each offering:

  • Salary up to £31k
  • Pension and benefits package
  • Fixed term contract for 18 months
  • Home/remote working from within the UK
