Do you love working with young people and have a background in drama?

Do you live in or around Brighton?

Are you an experienced director or actor – potentially in theatre and film?

Do you have an enhanced CRB / DBS certificate?

The Young Actors Group are delighted to announce that we are once again expanding our database of freelance drama and musical theatre directors! We are currently looking for a new director in the Hurstpierpoint area.

This role is for our Juniors and Seniors group (aged 8-15) on Saturdays from 9.45 - 2.00pm, based in The Church of The Good Shepherd, Dyke Road, Brighton.

The Young Actors Group is one of the fastest growing acting groups in the South and will be launching a franchise model this year.

If you’re passionate about nurturing and developing young people through drama, have at least 2 years’ experience working with children and a clear DBS then we’d love to hear from you.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS (please do not apply if you do not meet the following skill base)

* Based in or around Hurstpierpoint

* Excellent organisational and administrative skills

* Excellent IT skills with a good understanding of email protocol

* Excellent manner with both children and parents

* Experience working in the Performing Arts industry

* 2 Years or more working with young people in the Performing Arts sector

BENEFICIAL SKILLS

* Experience teaching voice and movement exercises to young people

* Experience teaching both acting for stage and acting for screen

* An understanding of local drama spaces and groups in your area
