Job Details:
Operate the milling process at a feed mill to combine feed ingredients per a formula to provide a finish product for deliver to farms.
Schedule: Mon - Friday 5 pm to 3 am.
Pay rate: $17.20/hour + $1.00/hour shift premium ($25.00/ weekly attendance offered)
Flexible scheduling required as work days/hours may change in the future.
Job Responsibilities
Ability to accurately record dataAbility to operate computerize pelleting and batching systems to batch, pellet, and route finished feed based on run schedulesAbility to perform minor maintenance duties using hand toolsAbility to maintain operational levels of micro ingredients requiring manual filling of bagged ingredients.Ability to measure silos to take physical inventoryAble to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand schedulingAbility to work in elevated areas and follow all safety proceduresAble to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species Maintain good housekeeping including service areasCommunicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where requiredFollow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocolsAble to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs. with assistanceStand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Education: High school degree or equivalent
EXPIERENCE REQUIRED:
Operator candidates must possess: 3 -month operator experience listed on the application (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is 6 months). 1 year of feed mill experience preferred.
Special Skills:
Basic Math Skills Communication Skills Critical Thinking Basic computer skill Ability to certify and maintain PIT Certification Ability to achieve and maintain respirator certification where applicable (ability to be clean shaven) Ability to certify and maintain a Boiler Certification
